Anti-Nightclub Petition Circulates

Tribeca Neighbors have been circulating a petition against a proposed nightclub on Thomas Street.  The link to the petition is here. Here is their message (verbatim).

On April 13, Community Board 1’s Tribeca Committee will weigh whether to sanction a liquor license for a chain that hopes to open a Buddha Bar at 62 Thomas Street — your building. We hope you’ll consider opposing this latest assault on our neighborhood’s quality of life, by:

(1) Reading why this infamously loud nightclub doesn’t belong on a narrow residential block where two disruptive lounges have failed – and then e-signing our Charnge.org petition.

(2) Expressing your own feelings to Community Board 1 c/o its District Manager at npfefferbilt@cb.nyc.gov

(3) Forwarding this email to other neighbors

(4) Attending the April 13 CB1 hearing at 1 Centre Street, Room 2202A-North, at 6 P.M.

Please reply if you have any questions or comments or would like to share email addresses of supporters. We hope to see you at the April 13 hearing. In the meantime, we’ll keep you in the loop on developments. Thanks for your time.
